Private Instructions

Among these new features, the most notable one is the private instructions that have been tested on Plus subscribers for quite some time. To briefly summarize this feature, after providing information about yourself to ChatGPT, it allows the tool to prepare responses specifically tailored to you.

For example, if you say your name is Ahmet, it will address you as Ahmet consistently. You can test this by asking, “What is my name?” Of course, this feature is not limited to just that. You can also specify what you do for a living and what you like.

Moreover, through this feature, you can determine the style of responses you want from ChatGPT. For instance, you can ask it to only respond in German. While this innovation seems quite useful, the fact that it collects data does raise some concerns among users.

Finally, it’s worth noting that you can access this feature by tapping on the three-dot icon at the bottom left.

Suggestions

If you’re unsure about what to ask ChatGPT when you open it, suggestions can help you. These suggestions on the chat screen consist of various questions like “Why does popcorn pop?”, “Give me an idea,” “Give me tips for taking photos,” and “How to make a cake?”

Default Language Model

Subscribers of the $20 monthly Plus plan used to have the GPT-3.5 language model selected by default every time they opened ChatGPT. They had to switch to the GPT-4 language model each time. However, now you won’t need to choose the language model every time you enter ChatGPT. By default, the last option you selected will be pre-selected.
